The medical coding programs at ATCC provide comprehensive training using nationally recognized coding systems to classify procedures and diagnoses related to medical treatment. The diploma program includes coursework in anatomy and physiology, extensive medical terminology, the use of electronic health records, U.S. health care systems, and medical billing and insurance. Medical coders are needed for patient account management, medical billing, and insurance claims processing.
